This charming 19th-century cottage was a gem! The property had everything I could possibly need, from a well-equipped kitchen to fluffy towels. The location was ideal too, with plenty of nearby attractions.

Oh, and let's not forget the joy of climbing endless hills with all my bags. Such a treat for someone like me with impeccable mobility.

We were greeted by a warm and friendly host who was extremely accommodating with our delayed arrival. The location of the cottage was perfect for our walking and cycling adventures in the beautiful North Pennines. The cottage itself exceeded our expectations, providing all the necessary facilities for our group of three cyclists. We were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful welcome pack filled with delicious breakfast ingredients and even treats for our furry friend. The cottage was spotless, comfortable, and incredibly well-equipped, making it the best holiday home we've ever stayed at. Any issue we had was quickly resolved without any hassle. our stay at Hillside Holiday Cottage was absolutely perfect and we highly recommend it.

The accommodation was absolutely gorgeous, beautifully decorated and filled with homely touches. It was also very well equipped, with the owners having thought of everything. The cleanliness was spotless and the comfort level was top-notch. The cottage's location just off the main street was extremely handy for exploring the area. Plus, the owner, Trish, was lovely and stayed in touch to ensure our needs were met throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

The stair treads were a bit narrow due to the age of the property, which might be a concern for some guests. it would have been helpful to have instruction manuals and details on the boiler and recycling included in the welcome folder.

We had an incredible stay at a charming holiday cottage. Doug and Trish, our friendly hosts, made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. the cottage itself was amazing - it had everything we could possibly ask for and more. the location was perfect, and the welcome pack they provided was a pleasant surprise. From the fridge stocked with eggs, bacon, and milk, to the individual jam pots and small bottles of wine, they truly thought of everything. We can't wait to go back!

wow, hillside holiday cottage in stanhope was beyond amazing! exceeded our expectations, just like our previous stay. everything we needed was there, from a well-stocked fridge to a thoughtful welcome pack. the location was fantastic, perfect for exploring the national park. doug and trish were so friendly and helpful, making us feel at home. definitely going back!
